Dan Hill，1954年6月3日生於加拿大，自1975年出道起，發行過11張專輯、2張精選輯，始終保持著粗獷大鬍子外貌的他，唱的卻是不折不扣的溫柔芭樂情歌,是一名抒情歌手兼作曲者。
他十几岁时酷爱听音乐，尤为喜欢法兰克·辛纳屈（Frank Sinatra）。他在加拿大成名，1975年发行了首张专辑。1977年，他合作完成了歌曲《Sometimes When We Touch》，后来这首抒情歌曲在美国大红，进入热门金曲榜前十名。
歌曲《Sometimes When We Touch》，这首歌被翻唱了无数遍.
1982年為電影《First Blood》主唱插曲〈It’s a Long Road〉，隨著電影畫面深植人心，但很少人知道是Dan Hill的作品。1987年與Vonda Shepard對唱的〈Can’t We Try〉，是男女對唱情歌的佳作。
